Stopping the Embedded PostgreSQL Database

To stop the embedded PostgreSQL database, stop the services and servers in the order listed below.

  1. Log in to the Cloudera Manager user interface and stop the services that have a dependency on the Hive metastore (Hue, Impala, and Hive) in the following order:
    • Stop the Hue and Impala services.
    • Stop the Hive service.
  2. On the Cloudera Manager Home page, click the 3 vertical dots next to Cloudera Management Service and select Stop to stop the Cloudera Management Service.
  3. Stop the Cloudera Manager Server.
    RHEL:
    sudo systemctl stop cloudera-scm-server.service
  4. Stop the Cloudera Manager Server database.
    RHEL: 
    sudo systemctl stop cloudera-scm-server-db.service
