Removal Notice: Discontinued Cloudera-Provided OpenJDK RPM Package

Cloudera Manager 7.13.2.0 removes the Cloudera-provided OpenJDK RPM installation option

In previous versions, Cloudera Manager included an OpenJDK RPM package as an optional selection during the deployment process. This feature allowed administrators to install Cloudera's provided Java runtime environment directly through the Cloudera Manager user interface (UI) without manually configuring Java on each host server in advance.

Starting with Cloudera Manager 7.13.2.0, Cloudera completely removes this feature. Specifically, Cloudera removed the Install a Cloudera-provided version of OpenJDK installation option from the Cloudera Manager UI and deleted the OpenJDK 8 RPM package from all Cloudera Download Repository locations.

While this removal does not cause automated deployment or upgrade processes to fail, users can no longer access or download this Java package through Cloudera. Administrators must now manually download, install, and configure a supported Java runtime environment on all Cloudera Manager Server and Agent hosts before installing or upgrading to version 7.13.2.0 and higher.
