Cloudera Migration Assistant

Cloudera Migration Assistant 4.1 helps you plan and run migrations between Cloudera Base on premises clusters using a master–agent architecture. Agents register clusters with the master over gRPC; you use the web UI for scanning, versioned migration plans, executions, and validation.

With this release you can:

• Follow end-to-end migration walkthroughs from parcel-based deployment through workload execution (see End-to-end migration walkthroughs).
• Move data with HDFS to HDFS replication and HDFS to Ozone migrations using Cloudera Replication Manager, and plan Ozone storage layout on the target (technical preview).
• Run technical preview walkthroughs for Airflow DAG migration to Git and Ranger policy discovery.

Use Administrator to install and secure Cloudera Migration Assistant (TLS, PostgreSQL, Vault, RBAC, LDAP/Knox). Use Migration for cluster registration, user and agent connections, scanning, collections, destinations, and lift-and-shift execution. Use Reference for configuration details.
