Pig Installation

Apache Pig enables you to analyze large amounts of data using Pig's query language called Pig Latin. Pig Latin queries run in a distributed way on a Hadoop cluster.

Important:

If you have not already done so, install Cloudera's yum, zypper/YaST or apt repository before using the following commands to install or upgrade Pig. For instructions, see CDH 5 Installation.
